The Proven 5-Step Process to Ignite the Passion and Productivity in Your People

84% of organizations don’t have enough candidates in the leadership pipeline ready and able to assume management positions. Don’t let your organization be one of them!

As baby boomers are retiring in droves, their years of leadership experience and knowledge is walking out the door with them. There are a lot of younger employees entering the workforce, but they don’t have the experience yet. Most organizations are experiencing a real gap in the middle with not enough managers prepared to fill the roles of those leaders leaving.

Talent pipeline health continues to be the biggest challenge for leadership continuity in most organizations today.

Challenges Your Organization May be Facing:

Need Proven, Measurable Results from Leadership Programs

Needing to provide truly impactful, leadership development programs that have proven, measurable, lasting effects

Need to Meet Learning Needs in the Fastest Way Possible

Meeting the learning needs of today’s busy managers and supervisors in the fastest way possible while consistently reinforcing skill development

Need Programs that Integrate with Your Organization's Culture

Finding learning solutions that integrate with your unique culture and processes

Why Would You Want to Provide Parts of Your Leadership Program in a Virtual Environment?

Learning is Most Effective When It is a Process, Not an Event.
Virtual learning can easily be scheduled in smaller segments, spread out over time.

On the Job Application Increases When Managers Implement their Action Plans between Sessions.
It’s not what happens during the class, it’s how well it’s implemented that counts. Virtual learning provides ample opportunities to implement learning concepts back on the job and to discuss lessons learned between class sessions.

Managers are Time Challenged and they Prefer Learning in Shorter Time Frames.
Your managers are busy. They want to learn, but they don’t want it to keep them from getting their other work done.

Hi. I’m Susan Cullen.

As President and Founder of NexaLearning, I am known for designing and facilitating targeted learning solutions that meet my client’s real-world needs.  I develop long-term relationships with my clients, while serving as a trusted partner to them in the process.  I was also a very early adopter of blended and live virtual learning.

After delivering hundreds of classes in the live virtual environment, I have created dynamic methods for keeping learners even more engaged in the on-demand and virtual classroom than in the traditional one.

I am among the top one percent of Wiley Workforce Learning consultants, worldwide, who are recognized as diamond award-winning partners. (Wiley publishes the highly acclaimed DiSC and Everything DiSC instrument and training programs).   I am the author of many leadership development programs, delivered in the traditional classroom, virtual classroom and as on-demand eLearning courses.  I am also an Authorized Partner and Certified Facilitator for the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team (based on Patrick Lencioni’s best-selling book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team).

From my 25 Years of Experience Developing Leaders, I Came to Some Interesting Conclusions:

  • There are a lot of leadership programs that don’t provide the reinforcement resources needed to truly make a difference and make training stick.
  • The course modules need to include tangible, nuts-and-bolts ideas participants can easily apply on the job to be most impactful.
  • There are really four things the most effective leaders do differently from the rest.

What the Most Effective Managers All Have In Common

What do the Best Managers Do Differently from Everyone Else?

Research shows that while we tend to celebrate great companies, in reality there are only great managers, and it’s on the front-line that the hard work of building a stronger workforce gets done. But what ARE the four specific, tangible, practical skills needed today to lead a workforce to new heights?

They Know Themselves

The most effective managers have identified their strengths and their trouble spots. Then they actively leverage their strengths and develop in the areas they need to.

They Don’t Use a “One Size Fits All” Management Approach

They know that each individual has preferred ways of working and different development needs. To help each employee succeed, the best leaders modify their approach to fit that employee’s needs at the time.

They Are Wildly Effective Communicators

Fortunately, the key communication skills a manager needs can be learned. This will help them demonstrate focused interest in each team member, ask for other’s input and value their contributions.

They Know How to Bring Out the Best in Each Employee

They are passionate about establishing clear expectations, targets and goals. Then they know how to coach with compassion and courage throughout the year to encourage buy-in, accountability and performance excellence.

In this module you will learn how to identify the styles of other people, and how to adapt your approach to leading them in a variety of situations.

You will discover:

  • Your natural approach to the key actions you must take to lead and manage your team: Directing, Delegating, Motivating and Developing others. Knowing your tendencies will help you identify your strengths and development needs and how you can be most effective.

Module 4: PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT – How Targeted Coaching Tied to Annual Goals Can Exponentially Improve Results

Foundations of Leadership - Virtual ProgramMost managers know they need set goals and turn in annual performance reviews, but coaching throughout the year towards those goals is usually the weakest, yet most important, link.

This module will address why targeted coaching throughout the year is so critical, why it usually doesn’t happen enough, and the steps you can take that will dramatically impact your ability to help your employees achieve their objectives.

  • One simple step the vast majority of managers overlook that can impact your employee’s performance the most
  • How to encourage employee buy-in and ownership during each phase of the performance management cycle
